Roll into action and give this fantastic app a whirl!

Hi All,

Hope you're all doing well!

This has been a bit of a strange week mainly because of how fast the weather changed. The week started with it being around 12 to 14°C and then halfway through the week it dropped to below 5°C! I remember Thursday morning being pretty warm but then when I left the office it was so cold!

That has of course spoiled my plans for recording content for my channel as I didn't think to take warmer clothes with me. That's another thing, I asked both Alexa and the Google Assistant what the weather was going to be like and neither of them predicted it. How bizarre!

This week I wanted to talk about a new feature that I added to my website, the feature is called a Roll and I created it with the help of Bublup. You can see the Roll here.

A Roll is basically a webpage that I created from several folders and links I had in Bublup. The web page took seconds to create and editing and perfecting it took me around 15 minutes. However, in their default settings, the Rolls already look very presentable. It was also extremely easy to add my own custom domain to it, which I feel kind of proud of.

The domain I decided to go with is recommendedby.techwithdom.online.

As the domain name may suggest, the whole idea of this Roll is for me to showcase all the things I recommend based on my own personal experience. I will be including an up-to-date list of all the tech products, apps as well as books that I use or have enjoyed.

But it doesn't stop there as you can do so much with the Roll feature. For example, you can use it to showcase your work, or you can use it as a browser landing page for your favourite websites, the possibilities are endless.

As an app, Bublup is pretty useful, especially for content creators and students. Although I'm no longer a student, I wish I discovered the app sooner as it would have been extremely beneficial to my research.

As a content creator, I use the app primarily for organising links to my own content and saving and organising links to content I enjoyed and may want to go back to later. I have written an entire article on how I use Bublup as a blogger. It's also a great way of sharing these links with others!

I've also started to use Bublup in my profession which is IT. I use it as a knowledge base where I save guides, websites as well as documentation for projects, IT setups and much more. It's great for that sort of thing!

You can check out my full review of Bublup here.

How I Use Bublup as a Blogger

Bublup is a great tool in many ways and I'm subscribed to it as a paying customer for a number of reasons, but that's something I will discuss in a future article. In this article, I talk about how I use it as a blogger and I think it has many benefits.

📹 YouTube Video - Mark Ellis Reviews: Is Apple Vision Pro DOOMED? 6 fixes Apple MUST MAKE!

I still have mixed feelings about the Apple Vision Pro and whilst the technology is pretty impressive, you shouldn't have to give up on the important things, like drinking a coffee while you work. I think Mark summarises the issue incredibly well with this review.

📝 Blog Post - Rishabh: How I Discovered That I Am a Mountain Person

Sometimes it's nice to get away from all the technology and spend some time in the countryside. I tend to be a mountain person, that is exactly why I agree with this post.

💻 Tech - Bublup

I've talked a lot about Bublup in this newsletter, which is why as a paying customer who finds the app incredibly useful, I am leaving my affiliate link.

That's it from me in this newsletter and as always, if you have any questions, suggestions or feedback, feel free to reply to this email.

Wishing you all the very best!

By Dom Kwolczak Hi Reader, As a tech reviewer, I review tech from all sorts of big and small brands. Some of these brands are very popular and some are less known, but that isn’t necessarily a bad thing. That’s why, based on my experience with buying and getting items sent from less—known brands, I decided to share the things which I think you should know before buying… Price vs. Value In many cases, we choose to go with lesser-known brands because they offer considerably cheaper products...

By Dom Kwolczak I Want To Try Something New! Hi All, This has been another incredibly busy week, both for Tech With Dom as well as my day job. When working a full-time job and doing something on the side such as running a side hustle or learning a new skill, things can quickly become very busy and you have to know how to plan your time properly. I tend to plan my week during the weekend using a to-do list as well as a calendar app, but I've lately been watching many productivity videos and I...

🖥️ Microsoft Needs To Do This NOW! Hi All, I started the week with a random thought and if you think about it, it actually makes sense, especially in this day and age - but we'll get to that a little later. First, I wanted to mention that Microsoft Windows has always been an operating system I associate work and corporate life with. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that most companies I ever worked for used Windows of some variation. According to research, Microsoft Windows also...
