Hi All!
What an interesting week it's been!
As it sometimes happens in life, your day doesn't always go to plan, that is exactly what happened to me on Thursday when I thought I connected my Pixel Watch for charging, but I never actually plugged the charger into the mains!🤦♂️
Instead of feeling sorry for myself, I decided to turn this into a test to see how long the watch will last before the battery fully dies. The results were surprising! You can read my article on this here. On top of that I decided to keep my Twitter audience updated throughout the day with battery updates. If you don't already follow me on Twitter, you can follow me here.
Moving on from that, I've been thinking about moving on from Windows 11 for a while now but at the same time I don't really want to get rid of my computer just yet. I know that it's starting to show its age and that moving on from Windows will mean that I have to sacrifice a number of things.
But I've been playing around with the latest version of the Ubuntu for a while in a virtual environment and I kind of like it!
I mean, I'm not strictly new to Ubuntu or Linux, in fact back in my university days I used Linux a lot and I actually enjoyed the experience!
In regards to Ubuntu, the operating system has gone a long way since I last used it and I really like the look of the updated interface. But as any Linux user will tell you, the true beauty is in the code!
So yea, I'm going to continue to think about it and consider my options for the next couple of days and if I switch, I'm sure to make content about it!
Another great video by Sean! The Hidizs MS5 earbuds certainly look like a cool set of earbuds! I mean for starters you can swap parts out to alter the audio signature! I think that's awesome! Overall, a very well presented video!
The Apple HomePod Mini is a speaker that I certainly miss having in my smart home setup. For such a small device, the sound was powerful and you could do some pretty cleaver things with the help of Siri. But one thing I always felt was missing from the device was a screen. Is that about to change? Youssef's article explains well.
I've been meaning to replace my 500GB Samsung T5 SSD with a larger model for some time now and Crucial gave me the perfect excuse to upgrade now with their 1TB X6 Portable SSD which surprisingly only cost me £56.99 which I think is a brilliant price! Not sure if the deal will still be on by the time you read this newsletter, but here is my Amazon affiliate link for it.
That's it for this edition of the Tech With Dom Newsletter! Hopefully, you've enjoyed it!

By Dom Kwolczak Hi Reader, As a tech reviewer, I review tech from all sorts of big and small brands. Some of these brands are very popular and some are less known, but that isn’t necessarily a bad thing. That’s why, based on my experience with buying and getting items sent from less—known brands, I decided to share the things which I think you should know before buying… Price vs. Value In many cases, we choose to go with lesser-known brands because they offer considerably cheaper products...
By Dom Kwolczak Roll into action and give this fantastic app a whirl! Hi All, Hope you're all doing well! This has been a bit of a strange week mainly because of how fast the weather changed. The week started with it being around 12 to 14°C and then halfway through the week it dropped to below 5°C! I remember Thursday morning being pretty warm but then when I left the office it was so cold! That has of course spoiled my plans for recording content for my channel as I didn't think to take...
By Dom Kwolczak I Want To Try Something New! Hi All, This has been another incredibly busy week, both for Tech With Dom as well as my day job. When working a full-time job and doing something on the side such as running a side hustle or learning a new skill, things can quickly become very busy and you have to know how to plan your time properly. I tend to plan my week during the weekend using a to-do list as well as a calendar app, but I've lately been watching many productivity videos and I...
