Hi All!
Welcome to the latest edition of the Tech With Dom weekly newsletter!
In this edition, I wanted to share 3 of my favorite apps that never leave my smartphone and that I think you should download NOW!
This is an app I talk about a lot and with good reason!
It has totally changed the way I manage my emails on my phone, my iPad, and my laptop. At the same time, it helped me save time and become generally more productive.
The app automatically organizes my emails into clever categories such as Notifications and Newsletters allowing me to get rid of all the noise and allowing me to concentrate on the important emails. The app also allows me to go through all the newsletters and notifications read what's important and mark the emails that I don't need to read as done, which archives them keeping to Inbox Zero.
As a whole, this app has seriously helped me save time on checking my emails allowing me to get on with more important things.
Google Keep is a notes app I've been using ever since I can remember. The main reason I like it is its multi-platform compatibility. I must admit, I'm more of a fan of the way Apple Notes looks, but the key issue with Apple Notes is that it's not as compatible across multiple platforms as Google Keep is.
Google Keep is a very simple app that I use on my phone, my watch, my laptop, my computer, and in the browser if I need to. Best of all, its functionality doesn't change if using a different platform which I feel is important.
One of my favorite features of Google Keep is the ability to take notes using my voice and the WearOS app, which works incredibly well!
As a content creator, I find that sometimes ideas for great content come along during some of the most inconvenient times, and being able to capture them before I forget is extremely important. Google Keep helps me do just that!
I've also been using it for the first stage of the CODE framework discussed in Tiago Forte's book; Building a Second Brain. For those interested, CODE stands for Capture, Organise, Distil, and Express and I use it for content creation as well as studying and projects.
I've kept this one quiet for a while, but a few months ago I migrated from NordPass to 1Password, mainly due to the lack of a Chrome-only app that will work on my Chromebook, but also because 1Password has some pretty useful features.
I'm no stranger to 1Password, I actually used to use it several years ago when I was in university. I remember liking the app back then, but I then discovered Dashlane and I guess the idea that it came with a VPN suited me very well at the time. On top of that, I remember liking the interface.
But as an app, I feel 1Password has gone a long way over the last couple of years, especially as they are offering Passkey support which provides an easier and more secure alternative to passwords.
I like the idea of the Watchtower which not only tells you about breaches but also about weak passwords and other security problems such as reused passwords.
I also think that the interface works really well and provides me with a great way of organising my passwords.
As a whole, I think that it's a great app and I fully understand that many of you may have concerns about putting all of your eggs into one basket, but 1Password offers a pretty good security model that includes end-to-end encryption as well as a zero-knowledge architecture which basically means that the information stored is owned and known by only you. You can read more about security here.
As newsletter subscribers, you also get access to my full list of favorite apps which I will be updating regularly from today!

A great article containing some of the big bets Microsoft made for Windows and later abandoned. In my opinion, one of the worst decisions Microsoft made was canceling Windows Phone. I think that it was seriously an underrated platform that would work great if Microsoft were to create a Microsoft 365 ecosystem, especially for work as many companies use Windows and Microsoft Office.
That's it from me in this edition of the Tech With Dom newsletter, hopefully, you've enjoyed it!
As always, feel free to reply to this email if you have any questions!
Wishing you all the very best!

By Dom Kwolczak Hi Reader, As a tech reviewer, I review tech from all sorts of big and small brands. Some of these brands are very popular and some are less known, but that isn’t necessarily a bad thing. That’s why, based on my experience with buying and getting items sent from less—known brands, I decided to share the things which I think you should know before buying… Price vs. Value In many cases, we choose to go with lesser-known brands because they offer considerably cheaper products...
By Dom Kwolczak Roll into action and give this fantastic app a whirl! Hi All, Hope you're all doing well! This has been a bit of a strange week mainly because of how fast the weather changed. The week started with it being around 12 to 14°C and then halfway through the week it dropped to below 5°C! I remember Thursday morning being pretty warm but then when I left the office it was so cold! That has of course spoiled my plans for recording content for my channel as I didn't think to take...
By Dom Kwolczak I Want To Try Something New! Hi All, This has been another incredibly busy week, both for Tech With Dom as well as my day job. When working a full-time job and doing something on the side such as running a side hustle or learning a new skill, things can quickly become very busy and you have to know how to plan your time properly. I tend to plan my week during the weekend using a to-do list as well as a calendar app, but I've lately been watching many productivity videos and I...
